If Jonathan Ive did bikes.......
- GQ
Seven years in the making, Gocycle is the ideal electric-powered two-wheeler for the city dweller who doesn’t want to look like a courier. With no tax disc and no need to pay the Congestion Charge in London, it’s good for your wallet and your green credentials. Ex-McLaren designer Richard Thorpe was inspired by years of traveling in London’s rush hour to create a bike for bypassing the gridlock. The best bit? A big red button you can push, Wacky Races-style, for a power injection. Having made the bike as simple as possible (a three-speed gearbox), Thorpe just needs to remove the danger posed by rubbernecking drivers.
